What is Deen Dayal Swashya Seva Yojana?

Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana is a health insurance scheme launched by State Government of Goa, to provide quality healthcare to the residents of the Goa State.  The scheme aim is provide comprehensive health insurance to the all residents of Goa, mostly those are below poverty line or economically weaker.  It covers several medical treatments including surgeries, medicines and hospitalization. The scheme provides cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals and healthcare facilities across Goa, it also covers for pre-existing diseases.

Under the scheme, eligible individuals can avail of medical treatment at empanelled hospitals without having to pay any upfront fees. The scheme also provides for the reimbursement of medical expenses incurred during treatment at non-empanelled hospitals in certain cases.

The Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana offers several advantages to the residents of Goa:

Coverage:  Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana provides health care up to Rs. 2.5 Lakh for the family less than or equal to 3 members and Rs. 4 Lakh for a family of 4 members or more per annum. 

Affordable Premium: Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana provides access to quality healthcare services at affordable rates. It reduces the financial burden on individuals and families by covering a wide range of medical treatments and procedures.  The premium of the scheme is Rs. 200 per annum for three or less member family member and Rs. 300 per annum for 4 or more members family.

Cashless Treatment: Under this scheme all the beneficiaries can avail of cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals in Goa.

Pre-existing Diseases: The scheme covers pre-existing diseases, providing all the necessary medical care without any limitations.

Comprehensive Coverage: The scheme provides coverage for various medical services, including surgeries, hospitalization, all diagnostic tests, and pre-post hospitalization expenses, offering comprehensive healthcare protection.

How to apply for the Deen Dayal Swasthya Seva Yojana Scheme:

Eligibility: Ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria for the scheme. Eligibility criteria may include residency in Goa, income criteria, and other specific requirements set by the government.

Required Documents: Collect necessary documents such as proof of identity for example Aadhaar card, voter ID, etc., proof of residence that is ration card, electricity bill, etc., income certificate, and any other documents specified by the scheme authorities.
